(ISC)2 uses Computerized Adaptive Testing (CAT) for its English language CISSP exam. This means that each answer you give is scored by an algorithm that determines how well you know the exam content. Your score throughout the exam is used to determine the following questions helping the algorithm build up a complete picture of your knowledge.
The CAT process means that the more you know, the fewer questions you have to answer, turning the previously 6-hour exam into a 3-hour one. Depending on your knowledge, you will be asked between 100-150 questions.
The exam is comprised of questions related to the eight domains of the CBK. Students can take the exam at any Pearson Professional Center. The exam voucher cost $699.
