What Do I Need to Know Before Taking Data+ (Plus) Training?

CompTIA Data+ is an early career-level certification with no specific prerequisites for prospective candidates. However, we recommend that anyone wishing to take this class has 1-2 years of experience in an analytical data role.

More specifically, candidates will do well if they have experience working with databases and data analysis tools. Candidates will also do well if they understand statistics and data visualization fundamentals.

What are the Data+ Exam Requirements?

Exam Eligibility

There are no specific prerequisites for this exam, but CompTIA recommends that candidates have one and a half to two years of experience working in a reporting or business analyst type role, or equivalent. They also suggest that you have experience with databases, statistics, analytical tools, and data visualization.

The CompTIA Data+ (Plus) Exam

The Data+ exam consists of a mix of ninety multiple-choice and performance-based questions. The performance-based questions require you to solve a problem in a virtual IT environment.

You have 90 minutes to answer the questions and score a minimum of 675 (out of 900) to pass the exam.
